DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales & Revenue Generation
- Actively sell company products within the assigned territory to meet and exceed set sales targets
- Identify new customers, distributors, wholesalers, and retail outlets to grow market coverage
- Follow up on leads and convert prospects into active customers
- Negotiate prices, discounts, and terms within approved company guidelines
- Ensure timely order placement and coordinate deliveries with operations teams
Market Development & Brand Visibility
- Conduct regular field visits to ensure product availability and visibility in outlets
- Implement merchandising standards including shelf arrangement, branding, and promotions
- Support execution of marketing campaigns, activations, roadshows, and product launches
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, promotions, and market trends and provide feedback to management
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and product issues professionally and promptly
- Educate customers on product features, benefits, and usage
- Maintain an updated customer database and sales pipeline
Reporting & Administration
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance reports
- Track sales activities, customer visits, and orders accurately
- Maintain proper documentation for sales transactions and customer agreements
- Provide accurate sales forecasts to support planning and stock management
Collections & Compliance
- Follow up on payments and ensure collections are done within agreed credit terms
- Minimize bad debts by monitoring customer credit limits and payment behavior
- Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies and ethical standards
Teamwork & Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with marketing, logistics, and finance teams to achieve business goals
- Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews
- Continuously improve product knowledge, selling skills, and market understanding
- Provide suggestions for improving sales processes and customer engagement
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma in Sales & Marketing or a related field
- 2–3 years of relevant sales experience in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in FMCG sales will be a strong added advantage
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven selling, negotiation, and persuasion abilities
- Target-driven with a results-oriented mindset
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Excellent planning, time management, and organizational skills
