DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, plan, and execute civil engineering projects including roads, buildings, drainage, and other infrastructure works.
- Prepare, review, and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor project progress, quality, and compliance with approved designs and regulations.
- Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and environmental standards during project execution.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources efficiently, providing regular progress reports to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with contractors, architects, government agencies, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
- Apply engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, etc.) in project design, analysis, and documentation.
- Stay up-to-date with current construction methods, materials, and legal regulations to ensure best practices.
- Mentor and supervise junior engineers and technicians, providing guidance and performance feedback.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university
- Registered with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK)
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant civil engineering experience, preferably in construction and infrastructure projects
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, and other relevant tools.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal/regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated project management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
