JOB SUMMARY

To formulate and implement sales and marketing strategies, organize, manage and coordinate the day to day activities of the Sales and Marketing department thereby ensuring efficient and effective operations; and maintain a highly motivated the company’s team that delivers superior customer services, all geared towards growth in sales revenues and profitability.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Planning

  • Participate in formulation, implementation and evaluation / review of the organization’s strategic planning process
  • Formulate and implement action plans for market penetration for waste incinerators, boilers and solar water heating in the Africa region
  • Purposely build and maintain teamwork across all departments
  • Participate in overall organization budgeting process and effectively manage the sales and marketing budget.

Participates in Industry forums

  • Information Management
  • Ensure safe custody of all sales and marketing information with ease of access whenever required.
  • Prepare periodic sales and marketing reports as agreed with the CEO and or the Board of Directors.
  • Continuously scan the markets and gather intelligence on customers, products and competition.
  • Prepare and disseminate customer quotations on a timely basis, and follows up for closure of business deals

Sales and Marketing Management

  • Ensure balanced sales across all key product lines throughout the year
  • Ensure stretch sales targets are realized within the predetermined profit margins
  • Manage customer relationships ensuring constant meaningful engagements
  • Prepare and participate in full tendering processes for all product lines
  • Network with key prospects to enhance sales conversion

Business acquisition and retention

  • Prepare prequalification documents and participate in prequalification processes, and maintain existing customers to increase the company’s customer base.
  • Attend and represent the company in industry forums

Corporate image and communications

  • Ensure professional and purposeful corporate communications
  • Ensure the organization has adequate oversees the continuous review, for relevance, of company website
  • Champions a superior corporate culture to all employees
  • Prepare and facilitate advertising, sales promotions, exhibitions and assorted marketing campaigns for acquisition and retention of new business

Financial management

  • Prepares marketing budgets and monitors spending in line with bud gets
  • Drives sales for achievement of business financial targets

Markets management

  • Continuously reviews existing market for growth of footprint
  • Monitors the competition within target market and strategizes for mitigation where necessary

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Proven experience in sales and marketing management, preferably in Engineering Industry.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, digital marketing tools, and analytics platforms.
  • Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
  • Results-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
