DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee Daily Store Operations

  • Ensure the store opens and closes on time, maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming shopping environment.
  • Supervise and coordinate all daily activities, including staff scheduling, task assignments, and ensuring operational readiness.

Drive Sales and Achieve Targets

  • Implement effective sales techniques and promotions to meet and exceed monthly sales targets.
  • Analyze customer buying patterns and adjust product placement or sales tactics accordingly.
  • Motivate the sales team to actively engage with clients and upsell where appropriate.

Lead and Manage Store Staff

  • Recruit, train, and onboard new retail staff to align with the brand’s values and service standards.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching or disciplinary action as needed.
  • Foster a team-oriented culture focused on high performance and excellent customer service.

Deliver Outstanding Customer Service

  • Ensure every customer receives personalized attention, prompt service, and assistance in selecting suitable fashion items.
  • Resolve customer issues quickly and professionally, maintaining a positive store reputation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with loyal customers and high-value clients.

 

 

 

Inventory and Stock Control

  • Monitor stock levels, anticipate restocking needs, and coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishment.
  • Conduct regular stocktakes and audits to ensure accuracy and prevent stock loss.
  • Manage back stock, arrange storage effectively, and minimize shrinkage through tight controls.

Merchandising and Store Presentation

  • Ensure visual merchandising is aligned with brand identity and current fashion trends.
  • Oversee the arrangement of displays, mannequins, and seasonal promotions to maximize customer interest and footfall.
  • Keep shelves and racks neat, fully stocked, and visually appealing at all times.

Sales Reporting and Analysis

  • Track daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Submit detailed reports to senior management, including customer feedback, sales patterns, and staff performance.
  • Use insights to plan future sales strategies and manage product assortment.

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure the store complies with all company policies, safety standards, and legal requirements.
  • Manage petty cash, process refunds/exchanges per company procedures, and safeguard financial integrity.
  • Enforce loss prevention strategies and conduct investigations when discrepancies arise.

Coordinate with Head Office and Suppliers

  • Communicate regularly with the head office on stock issues, marketing campaigns, staffing, and performance updates.
  • Liaise with local suppliers or delivery agents to ensure seamless stock flow and product availability

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Proven experience in retail store management, preferably in the fashion industry
  • Strong background in sales and marketing with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Excellent customer care and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities
  • Hands-on experience in stock control and inventory management
  • Knowledge of fashion trends and a passion for the retail fashion industry
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
