DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Tender Review & Analysis

  • Analyze and review tender documentation including specifications, drawings, scope of work, and client requirements.
  • Identify key technical and commercial requirements and raise clarifications where needed.

Construction Methodology Development

  • Collaborate with the construction and technical teams to develop efficient and innovative construction methods tailored to marine projects.
  • Prepare preliminary construction schedules and methodologies that align with the project timeline and resources.

Estimation & Costing

  • Identify and quantify cost factors such as material, equipment, labor, logistics, and subcontractor services.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and rate build-ups based on project specifications and market conditions.

Submittal Preparation

  • Prepare comprehensive Technical and Commercial tender packages in line with client requirements and company standards.
  • Ensure submission is complete, compliant, and delivered on time.

Coordination & Communication

  • Coordinate internally with planning, procurement, construction, and engineering departments for information required for proposals.
  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to gather quotations and technical data.

 

 

Market Awareness & Strategy

  • Stay updated with industry trends, project pricing benchmarks, and competitor strategies.
  • Support management in developing win strategies and value engineering options.

 

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (required)
  • Minimum of 4 years in marine construction tendering, specifically in breakwaters, quay walls, dredging, and reclamation
  • Strong knowledge of marine construction techniques and practices
  • Proficient in estimation software (e.g., Candy, CCS) and MS Office Suite
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
