PRIMARY TEACHER (UPPER PRIMARY)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, prepare, and deliver comprehensive lesson plans in accordance with the national curriculum for upper primary, emphasizing Music and Creative Arts.
• Regularly assess student performance through various evaluation methods, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
• Create a dynamic and inclusive classroom atmosphere that fosters creativity, self-expression, and a love for the arts.
• Maintain effective classroom management strategies to ensure a respectful and productive learning environment.
• Organize and lead extracurricular activities related to Music and Creative Arts, encouraging student participation and showcasing their talents.
• Work collaboratively with fellow teachers to integrate arts across the curriculum and enhance overall student learning experiences.
• Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay updated on teaching practices, curriculum changes, and advancements in the arts.
• Establish and maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress, events, and classroom activities.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• Minimum of P1 Certificate from a recognized institution.
• Proven experience in teaching upper primary students, preferably with a focus on Music and Creative Arts.
• Must be registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
• Strong musical and artistic skills with the ability to inspire students in these areas.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Creative and innovative teaching strategies that engage and motivate students.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
