DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Engagement in the Showroom:

  • Greet and assist customers who visit the showroom.
  • Understand customer needs and guide them to appropriate products, especially construction materials like Mabati (roofing sheets), and provide relevant product information.
  • Offer demonstrations and explain product features, specifications, and pricing in a clear and professional manner.

Social Media Sales and Marketing:

  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries received through social media platforms, providing relevant product information, pricing, and addressing customer concerns.
  • Leverage social media to run targeted campaigns, create buzz around new product launches, and engage in promotional activities.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build strong relationships with both new and existing customers through personalized interactions, both online and in person.
  • Follow up with potential customers who show interest in products but have not made a purchase to close sales.
  • Address customer complaints and concerns effectively, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Keep track of customer feedback and suggest improvements to products or services based on customer insights.

Sales and Revenue Generation:

  • Consistently meet and exceed monthly sales targets, ensuring growth in both showroom and social media sales channels.
  • Cross-sell and upsell related products to maximize sales opportunities, ensuring customers receive the best value for their needs.
  • Drive foot traffic to the showroom by actively promoting online and offline sales campaigns.

Product Knowledge and Market Trends:

  • Regularly review competitor products, services, and pricing to stay competitive.
  • Participate in product training sessions and actively share knowledge with team members to ensure high-quality service standards.

 Sales Reporting and Data Management:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, sales, and feedback using the company's CRM system or other sales tools.
  • Prepare regular sales reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs), sales achievements, and areas for improvement.

Collaborative Teamwork and Professional Development:

  • Work closely with the sales team and management to develop effective sales strategies, enhance customer experiences, and drive overall company growth.
  • Attend regular meetings with the marketing team to align on goals, strategies, and progress on social media campaigns.

Health, Safety, and Compliance:

  • Ensure that showroom operations adhere to health, safety, and quality standards in accordance with company policies and local regulations.
  • Promote a safe and welcoming environment for both customers and colleagues, maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in sales, particularly in social media sales and/or construction materials.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A customer-centric attitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic knowledge of construction materials is an advantage.
