DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of various dishes as per menu specifications.
- Maintain high-quality standards for food presentation and taste.
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of ingredients.
- Assist in inventory management and report shortages to the head chef.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the kitchen at all times.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient workflow.
- Adhere to kitchen safety and hygiene protocols.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions for menu development and improvements.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to uphold high-quality standards.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations in the kitchen environment.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma or Certificate in Hospitality Management or Culinary Arts from a recognized institution.
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role as a Junior Chef, Cook, or Chef Assistant in a professional kitchen.
- Strong understanding of food preparation, kitchen hygiene, and safety standards.
- Creativity and passion for culinary arts with attention to detail in food presentation.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Interviews will be carried out on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
