DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet customers as they approach the counter and ensure a positive experience.
  • Accurately process customer payments using the Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
  • Ensure that all transactions are handled promptly and accurately, including cash, card, and mobile money payments.
  • Provide customers with receipts and change as necessary.
  • Maintain and balance the cash register throughout the shift, ensuring proper cash handling and preventing discrepancies.
  • Address customer inquiries regarding the menu, payment methods, and promotions.
  • Assist in managing and tracking inventory, ensuring adequate stock for cash register supplies.
  • Provide excellent customer service by resolving issues and answering questions related to billing or transactions.
  • Keep the cashier station clean and organized.
  • Assist other team members with duties as needed.
  • Adhere to the company’s policies and procedures for handling cash and payments.

 

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma or Degree in Business Management or a related field
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in a cashier or customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Proficient in the use of POS software and cash management.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
  • Good customer service orientation with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
