DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Receiving and Inspection

  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming goods for quality and quantity.
  • Report damaged, defective, or incorrect deliveries to the supervisor.

Stock Management

  • Arrange and organize stock in the store or warehouse for easy retrieval.
  • Ensure proper labelling and storage of goods to prevent damage or loss.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and assist in reconciliation to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Track inventory levels and alert the supervisor of low-stock situations.

Issuing Materials

  • Prepare and issue goods or materials based on requisitions.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping of items issued and maintain updated stock logs.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain proper records of all stock movements, including receipts and issues.
  • Prepare periodic inventory reports for the supervisor or management.

Housekeeping and Maintenance

  • Keep the storage area clean, organized, and free from hazards.
  • Ensure proper handling and stacking of goods to prevent accidents or damage.

Coordination and Communication

  • Liaise with procurement, dispatch, and production teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries about stock availability or discrepancies.

Compliance

  • Adhere to company policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the storage area.

Support in Audits

  • Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and facilitating the audit process.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Certificate or Diploma in Stores Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 2 years in a Store/Warehouse environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency, especially in inventory management systems.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
