DEBT COLLECTOR

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Contact clients via phone, email, and other communication methods to remind and follow up on overdue payments.
Negotiate payment arrangements with clients, offering solutions and ensuring clear communication regarding payment terms.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all debt recovery activities, including contact details, payment agreements, and account status.
Analyze clients' financial situation to determine the best course of action for debt recovery.
Collaborate with the legal department for further action when necessary, including initiating legal proceedings for unpaid debts.
Work closely with the finance team to report on collections and outstanding accounts.
Track progress on debt recovery goals, providing regular reports to management.
Follow up with clients in a professional and empathetic manner to ensure timely payments.
Keep up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in debt collection within the fintech sector.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, ensuring that collections are performed within legal boundaries.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

Diploma/Degree in any field.
Proven experience as a debt collector in the fintech industry or related sectors.
Knowledge of fintech products and services, particularly in debt management.
Strong understanding of debt collection laws and regulations.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and tact.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and debt collection software tools.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment is a plus.
