DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Production Management:

  • Oversee and coordinate all production activities to ensure efficient, safe, and timely manufacturing of pasta/spaghetti products.
  • Monitor production processes, ensuring they meet established quality standards and specifications.
  • Develop and implement production schedules, prioritizing workflows to meet deadlines and production targets.
  • Maintain and optimize production line efficiency while minimizing downtime and costs.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead a team of production staff, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure maximum productivity and morale.
  • Ensure that all production employees are trained in safety protocols, machine operation, and quality control standards.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying training needs, conducting regular performance reviews, and implementing employee development initiatives.
  • Coordinate shift schedules and allocate tasks to ensure adequate staffing levels throughout production periods.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance:

  • Utilize mechanical and electrical skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues with production machinery and equipment.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure proper maintenance of production machinery, and oversee corrective actions when breakdowns occur.
  • Monitor machine performance and work closely with the maintenance team to schedule preventive maintenance and repairs, reducing downtime.

Quality Control & Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the production process, ensuring all products meet both internal and external specifications.
  • Monitor production for defects or inefficiencies and implement corrective measures as needed to meet quality and efficiency goals.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational procedures, contributing to a safe working environment for all employees.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
  • Use lean manufacturing principles to improve operations, minimize downtime, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Review and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for improvement.

Inventory & Materials Management:

  • Work closely with the procurement and supply chain teams to ensure materials are available in the required quantities for production.
  • Monitor inventory levels, ensuring that raw materials are used efficiently and that production is not disrupted due to material shortages.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of materials and finished goods.

Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance:

  • Enforce all company health, safety, and environmental regulations on the production floor.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and participate in safety meetings, ensuring that all employees are compliant with established safety procedures.
  • Investigate safety incidents and ensure corrective actions are taken to prevent recurrence.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Prior experience in the pasta/spaghetti production industry is highly preferred
  • Strong background in both mechanical and electrical disciplines, with hands-on experience troubleshooting and resolving production machinery issues
  • Ability to identify issues quickly and develop practical, timely solutions to minimize downtime and optimize production
