DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain accurate records of inventory by tracking stock levels and locations. Monitor stock levels across the warehouse and ensure that they align with system data.
- Organize stock in an orderly manner, ensuring goods are stored in clearly labeled areas to make retrieval easy and efficient.
- Monitor and record stock discrepancies, such as damaged goods or stock losses. Take
- Proactively monitor stock levels and alert procurement or supply chain teams when stock levels are running low or when restocking is necessary.
- Regularly perform physical stock takes, typically on a quarterly or annual basis, to ensure physical inventory matches recorded inventory.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in stock levels. Analyze reports, identify trends, and provide feedback to improve stock management practices.
- Prepare stock-taking reports that detail any variances or adjustments made during physical counts, and submit them to the warehouse supervisor or manager.
- Coordinate and manage the movement of goods in and out of the warehouse, including handling stock transfers from suppliers to warehouse, and shipments to customers or e-commerce platforms.
- Oversee stock transfers from the warehouse to the e-commerce platform, ensuring that the right products are shipped in a timely manner.
- Ensure that products are correctly packaged and labelled for dispatch, adhering to the company’s packaging guidelines and quality standards.
- Process and pick orders accurately, ensuring that all items are included, packed securely, and dispatched in a timely manner to avoid delays or customer dissatisfaction.
- Ensure that the warehouse layout is optimized for maximum space efficiency and ease of access to frequently used products.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols, ensuring that the warehouse is clean, well-organized, and free from hazards. Maintain proper storage of goods to prevent accidents and damage.
- Ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO: First In, First Out) to minimize wastage or obsolescence, especially for perishable or time-sensitive goods.
- Use SAP or other warehouse management software to accurately record stock movements, transactions, and adjustments in real-time.
- Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and customers as needed to clarify product specifications, shipping instructions, or any other requirements.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding stock management, warehouse operations, and safety.
- Stay informed about and follow industry best practices and government regulations related to warehouse operations, safety, and inventory management.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- 2-3 years of experience as a Warehouse Clerk, Stock Controller, or in a similar role
- Proficiency in using SAP or similar warehouse management software
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, stock taking, and warehouse operations
