DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Production Management:
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to ensure production targets are met efficiently and on time.
- Monitor production processes and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and hygiene standards.
- Oversee the correct use of equipment, materials, and labor to maximize productivity.
- Ensure the proper setup and calibration of machines and equipment.
- Prepare and maintain detailed production reports and documentation.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all products meet the required quality standards by conducting regular inspections and quality checks throughout the production process.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner to prevent quality lapses.
- Implement corrective actions for any deviations from quality standards.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and motivate a team of production workers, providing guidance and direction to achieve production goals.
- Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback, conducting performance evaluations.
- Promote a positive working environment through clear communication, teamwork, and conflict resolution.
- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance employee skills and performance.
Health & Safety Compliance:
- Ensure that all production processes comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and address any potential hazards in the workplace.
- Ensure all team members are trained on safety protocols and equipment usage.
Inventory & Supply Management:
- Collaborate with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure the availability of raw materials and supplies for production.
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages and wastage.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of materials to maintain quality and safety standards.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and work with management to implement strategies to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Monitor industry trends and best practices to stay ahead of technological advancements.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Degree or Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field
- 5-10 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment, with a preference for experience in a paste production industry
- Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of managing teams in a production environment
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure quality control and adherence to production standards
- Ability to quickly identify and resolve production-related issues
