DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Relationship Management:
- Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key clients within the restaurant, hotel, and cafe sectors.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for existing and potential HORECA clients, ensuring high satisfaction levels.
- Conduct regular visits to clients’ premises to understand their needs and offer personalized product solutions.
Sales Strategy and Business Development:
- Identify and target new business opportunities within the HORECA sector, including opening new accounts and expanding current ones.
- Implement sales strategies to achieve both short-term and long-term sales goals for the company’s full product range.
- Prepare and present compelling sales proposals tailored to the specific needs of clients.
- Negotiate and close new business contracts to secure long-term agreements and meet sales targets.
Market Research and Trend Analysis:
- Keep up to date with market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences in the foodservice sector.
- Analyze customer feedback and adjust sales approaches accordingly to remain competitive.
- Gather insights into competitors’ offerings and use this information to position the company’s products effectively.
Sales Reporting and Performance Monitoring:
- Monitor sales performance against set targets and provide regular reports to management on sales activities, pipeline status, and revenue.
- Track product performance and provide actionable insights for improving sales strategies.
- Use CRM software to track and manage customer interactions, ensuring accuracy and timely follow-ups.
Product Knowledge and Training:
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company’s product offerings, including key features, benefits, and value propositions.
- Train and guide customers on the proper use of products, ensuring they understand product offerings and best practices.
- Coordinate with the product team to ensure client needs are communicated and product offerings are aligned with market demands.
Customer Retention and Service:
- Proactively address client concerns, offering solutions and ensuring timely follow-ups to resolve any issues.
- Foster long-term relationships with clients to increase customer retention and repeat business.
- Develop customer loyalty programs or initiatives that enhance long-term engagement.
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns targeted at HORECA clients.
- Collaborate with the operations and logistics teams to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of products to clients.
- Provide feedback to the product development team regarding customer preferences and new product ideas.
Budget and P&L Management:
- Develop and manage sales budgets to ensure efficient use of resources and alignment with revenue goals.
- Take ownership of the profit and loss for the HORECA segment, ensuring profitability and cost-effectiveness.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in sales within the food processing, FMCG, or hospitality industry
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple clients and projects.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
