DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Relationship Management

  • Establish, develop, and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Conduct regular client meetings and site visits to understand operational needs and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as a trusted logistics advisor by offering tailored freight solutions across ocean, air, and ground transport.

Business Development

  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, and industry events.
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to expand market presence and increase revenue.
  • Monitor and report on sales pipelines, forecasting, and market developments.

Sales and Negotiation

  • Prepare customized freight quotations, proposals, and presentations based on client needs and pricing structures.
  • Lead negotiations with clients regarding pricing, terms, and contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Work closely with management to define pricing strategies and secure profitable business.

Collaboration and Coordination

  • Coordinate with the operations and customer service teams to ensure smooth onboarding and execution of shipments.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to address any service issues and deliver seamless logistics solutions.

 

Market Insight and Reporting

  • Stay informed of industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to provide clients with up-to-date information and proactive solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system.
  • Prepare and deliver regular sales performance reports to senior management.

Performance & KPI Management

  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Continuously assess personal performance and adjust strategies to improve results.

 

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Degree/Diploma in Business, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the freight forwarding industry
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • High level of professionalism and reliability
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
