DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with real estate developers, construction companies, contractors, and distributors across Kenya.
  • Sales Execution: Promote, present, and sell the company’s Steel’s rebar products to both new and existing clients.
  • Business Development: Identify new business opportunities, develop tailored sales strategies, and close deals to expand market share.
  • Market Intelligence: Conduct regular market analysis to stay informed on competitor activities, pricing trends, and industry developments.
  • Sales Reporting: Prepare and submit weekly/monthly sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback to senior management.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the internal team (logistics, finance, customer service) to ensure smooth order processing and client satisfaction.
  • Customer Service: Address customer inquiries, manage post-sales support, and ensure timely delivery and follow-up.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Kenyan national or of Indian origin residing in Kenya
  • Minimum 3 years of proven sales experience in the steel, construction materials, or related sectors
  • Established contacts within construction firms, property developers, and building material distributors is essential
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and deliver under minimal supervision
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic CRM tools for reporting and communication
