DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Set monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and ensure consistent performance tracking.
- Identify new market opportunities, customer segments, and revenue streams.
- Drive market penetration and growth through innovative go-to-market strategies.
Team Management
- Recruit, train, mentor, and manage the sales team.
- Allocate sales territories and monitor team KPIs and individual performance.
- Conduct regular team meetings, reviews, and coaching sessions.
- Foster a results-driven and collaborative sales culture.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
- Act as the main point of contact for key accounts and large customers.
- Address customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Ensure excellent post-sale service and support to enhance customer satisfaction.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, pricing dynamics, and customer behavior.
- Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on sales performance, forecasts, and market conditions.
- Use CRM tools and data analytics to optimize sales effectiveness.
Operational Coordination
- Collaborate with other departments such as Marketing, Logistics, and Finance to ensure smooth order processing and delivery.
- Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies and legal standards.
- Oversee contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and credit control processes.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5–7 years of sales experience in the construction materials industry (e.g., cement, steel, aggregates, paints, plumbing, tiles, etc.)
- Proven track record in leading a successful sales team and meeting/exceeding targets
- Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills
- Solid understanding of the construction industry and its supply chain
