DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and Implement QC Plans:

  • Create and enforce comprehensive project-specific quality control plans aligned with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish inspection and testing protocols in coordination with the QA/QC Manager.

 Inspection and Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct site inspections, audits, and quality checks of construction activities, focusing on marine structures including breakwaters, quay walls, dredging works, and reclamation zones.
  • Ensure construction processes and workmanship meet predefined quality standards and technical specifications.

Material Compliance and Review:

  • Review material submittals, test results, and certifications to ensure conformity with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for quality-related matters.

Coordination and Communication:

  • Collaborate with site engineers, supervisors, and construction teams to proactively resolve quality-related issues.
  • Provide technical guidance and support on quality assurance matters across the project lifecycle.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, non-conformance reports (NCRs), corrective and preventive actions.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports for internal and client review.

 

Compliance and Standards:

  • Ensure compliance with international and local codes, standards (such as ISO 9001), and client-specific requirements.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (required)
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in marine construction projects (breakwaters, quay walls, dredging, reclamation)
  • Proficiency in construction quality assurance practices and standards
  • Familiarity with marine construction techniques, equipment, and materials
  • Strong knowledge of applicable international and local codes and regulations
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to identify and rectify quality issues proactively
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced project environment
