DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, and confections in accordance with established recipes and standards.
  • Develop new recipes and refine existing ones to enhance the menu and maintain high quality.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage stock to ensure all necessary ingredients are available while minimizing waste.
  • Ensure that all pastries and desserts are presented beautifully and meet our quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate dessert offerings and special events.
  • Train and mentor junior staff in pastry techniques and kitchen best practices.

 

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma or Degree in Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a pastry kitchen or bakery.
  • Strong understanding of pastry techniques, including dough, creams, and chocolate work.
  • Experience in recipe development and menu creation.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and cost control.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a creative approach to dessert presentation.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
