DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, and confections in accordance with established recipes and standards.
- Develop new recipes and refine existing ones to enhance the menu and maintain high quality.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage stock to ensure all necessary ingredients are available while minimizing waste.
- Ensure that all pastries and desserts are presented beautifully and meet our quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate dessert offerings and special events.
- Train and mentor junior staff in pastry techniques and kitchen best practices.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma or Degree in Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a pastry kitchen or bakery.
- Strong understanding of pastry techniques, including dough, creams, and chocolate work.
- Experience in recipe development and menu creation.
- Knowledge of inventory management and cost control.
- Excellent attention to detail and a creative approach to dessert presentation.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
