DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets within assigned territories.
- Prospect and onboard new customers including retail shops, kiosks, and small wholesalers.
- Upsell and cross-sell products to increase revenue.
- Conduct daily route riding to ensure product availability and optimal coverage.
- Ensure timely delivery of products to customers on assigned routes.
- Maintain accurate records of visited customers, feedback, orders, and competitor activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers and distributors.
- Resolve customer queries, complaints, and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide product knowledge and support to customers to improve sell-through.
- Ensure proper product placement, stock rotation, and merchandising in all retail outlets.
- Monitor stock levels and help minimize expired or damaged goods.
- Implement promotional activities and ensure POS materials are properly utilized.
- Prepare daily sales reports, route reports, and market intelligence summaries.
- Collect and relay market insights including pricing, competitor activities, and consumer trends.
- Submit accurate sales documentation, receipts, and collections as required.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma or certificate in sales & marketing or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a motorbike salesman in the fmcg industry
- Valid motorcycle riding license (class A)
- Excellent knowledge of nairobi routes and market dynamics
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure, meet targets, and handle long field hours
