LAUNDRY ATTENDANT

JOB SUMMARY

The laundry attendant will be responsible for ensuring that all laundry is cleaned, folded and stored properly. The laundry attendant will also be responsible for the maintenance of laundry equipment. The laundry attendant will play a crucial role in the presentation of the establishment by ensuring all textiles are well cared for and maintained.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sorting, washing, drying, pressing, and folding clothing and other textile items by color, size and material.
• Inspect items for stains, damages or wear and report issues to the HR department.
• Operate and maintain laundry equipment, including washing machines and dryers
• Stocking laundry supplies such as detergent, bleach, laundry bags and fabric softener
• Creating laundry tags with identifiable information
• Tracking maintenance and repairs on laundering equipment.
• Cleaning and maintaining laundry room area and equipment.
• Keeping an updated inventory of laundry detergents.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• Certificate in Housekeeping and Laundry Operations or equivalent is advantageous.
• Previous experience as a Laundry attendant or in a similar role is preferred.
• Familiarity with cleaning detergents and laundering equipment.
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
