DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Distributor Management:

  • Work closely with the distributor to achieve sales targets for various product categories
  • Monitor distributor performance, ensuring alignment with pricing, promotions and sales strategies.
  • Conduct regular trade audits to ensure no stockouts and maintain maximum product visibility in all outlets.
  • Collaborate with and train merchandisers to optimize instore product placements, ensuring compliance with merchandising standards and promotion plans.
  • Support the distributor in executing sales plans, promotional activities, and ensuring product availability in the market
  • Conduct performance reviews with the distributor to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement
  • Prepare regular sales reports, tracking distributor(s) performance against targets and providing insights for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted promotions and sales campaigns.

Trade Execution & Merchandising:

  • Conduct regular trade audits to prevent stockouts and maximize product visibility in all key outlets.
  • Collaborate with and train merchandisers to optimize in-store product placements and ensure compliance with merchandising standards and promotional plans.
  • Evaluate trade activities and promotions to ensure maximum return on investment (ROI).

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Prepare regular sales reports tracking distributor performance against targets and providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted promotions and sales campaigns.
  • Advise the business on emerging market trends and recommend adjustments to sales and distribution strategies.

Team & Stakeholder Management:

  • Manage third-party teams, ensuring efficiency and achievement of sales targets.
  • Foster strong working relationships with distributors, merchandisers, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of business plans.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales, with a strong track record of achieving targets
  • Proven experience working with distributors
  • Experience in conducting trade audits and working with merchandisers to ensure product visibility and availability
  • Strong negotiation, communication and relationship management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Self-driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel
