INTERNAL AUDITOR

JOB SUMMARY

The Internal Auditor will ensure the financial and systems integrity, efficiency, and operational security of the organization by performing audits, identifying financial risks, and implementing loss prevention strategies. The position is also responsible for ensuring compliance with policies and standards while promoting financial accountability across all levels of the organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Audit Planning and Execution

• Develop and implement audit plans and checklists for all departments to review and evaluate internal controls, operational processes, and risk management.
• Conduct regular and surprise audits across departments, identifying financial discrepancies, risk factors, and areas of improvement.
• Prepare and present audit findings, recommending corrective actions where necessary.

Loss Control Management

• Analyze the company's financial processes to identify areas prone to financial loss or fraud.
• Design and implement loss prevention strategies, including employee training and security measures.
• Monitor adherence to loss control policies and update measures as necessary based on audit findings.

Quality Management

• configure all procedures, breaking them down into measurable clauses.
• Progress Tracking: Tracks the status of each clause in the procedure and provides a visual representation chart of the percentage implementation progress. Providing quarterly implementation percentage of all the procedures.
• Assist HR to streamlines and enhances the process of evaluating employees and overall organizational performance.
• Training and ensuring employees are well-equipped with the necessary knowledge to meet the challenges of today’s dynamic business operations environment, enabling them to contribute effectively to the organization’s strategic objectives.
• Track non-conformities and ensures they are documented, analysed and resolved promptly
• Streamlining organizational processes and conformance, conformance map software contributes to delivering consistent, high-quality products and services to customers.
• Tracking historical data and ongoing performance it provides detailed analytics and insights to identify trends, areas of weakness, and opportunities for improvement across all the processes.

Compliance and Risk Management

• Ensure organizational adherence to industry standards, legal regulations, and internal policies.
• Collaborate with management to develop policies and controls to minimize financial and operational risks.
• Keep updated on industry regulations, adjusting internal policies to maintain compliance.

Company Communication

• Be the focal point of crucial company communication and link between Director and managers
• Offering strategic guidance to the Directors - This involves providing insights, guidance, and recommendations on various operational and regulatory matters.
• Data Analysis and Reporting
• Analyze audit data, preparing regular reports on financial performance, potential risks, and audit outcomes.
• Present actionable insights and reports to senior management and board members.
• Track audit metrics and prepare KPI-based summaries.
• Stakeholder Collaboration
• Work closely with department heads to strengthen financial control and address any audit-related issues.
• Provide advisory support to department heads regarding policy adjustments and compliance strategies.
• Conduct post-audit meetings to discuss findings and implementation of corrective actions.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Must have 2-4 years’ experience in similar position
• Thorough understanding of auditing principles, risk management and compliant requirements
• Proficiency in financial analysis and audit software
• Familiarity with regulatory standards and best practices in loss control
