HEAVY DUTY WELDER

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Welding Operations: Perform welding tasks on heavy machinery, equipment, and structures using various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Cored Arc Welding).
• Fabrication: Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Maintenance and Repair: Conduct regular maintenance and repair welding on heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Inspection: Inspect welded joints and structures to ensure they meet industry standards and specifications, making necessary adjustments or repairs.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Quality Control: Ensure all welding work meets the highest quality standards and is completed in a timely manner.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on each task.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• Proven experience as a Heavy Duty Welder or similar role.
• Proficiency in various welding techniques and equipment.
• Strong understanding of welding principles, techniques, and safety procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Physical stamina and the ability to work in demanding conditions.
• Relevant welding certification is preferred.
