DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct Physical Site Surveys:
- Assess site conditions, layout, and requirements for installations.
 - Identify potential obstacles and document survey findings for installation planning.
 
Material Requisitions:
- Order and manage required materials for projects.
 - Ensure timely availability of tools and materials to avoid delays.
 
Cable Laying and Installation:
- Lay cables along designated pipes, trays, and pathways with adherence to safety standards.
 - Ensure that cable routing is organized, efficient, and aligned with the installation plan.
 
Cat6 Termination and Fiber Splicing:
- Perform Cat6 cable terminations with precision for quality connections.
 - Conduct fiber optic splicing and perform tests to ensure efficient data transmission and connection strength.
 
Cable Management at Cabinet:
- Manage and organize cables at distribution cabinets, ensuring neat and secure placement.
 - Ensure that cables are labeled clearly, allowing for easy identification and maintenance.
 
Fiber Link Failure Identification and Restoration:
- Troubleshoot and quickly identify fiber link failures.
 - Repair or replace fiber cables, splices, or other components to restore service efficiently.
 
Customer Support & Feedback:
- Provide on-site support to customers, addressing any concerns or technical questions.
 - Collect customer feedback to gauge service quality and improve future installations.
 
Other Duties
- Perform any other duties as reasonably assigned by the supervisor or management that align with the employee’s skills, qualifications, and the overall purpose of the role.
 - Adapt to additional responsibilities or projects that support the company’s objectives, provided they are consistent with the scope of the employee's position and employment contract.
 
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma/Degree in Telecommunications, Information Technology, or a related field.
 - 2-3 years hands-on experience as a field technician in telecommunications, particularly in fiber optic installations and maintenance
 - Proficiency in fiber optic splicing and Cat6 termination is added advantage
 - Ability to perform tasks with high accuracy and minimize errors.
 - Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills to ensure customer satisfaction.
 - Flexible to work in various environments and adjust to changing demands.
