ENGLISH TEACHER- MATERNITY RELIEVER

JOB SUMMARY

Our client is seeking an English Teacher to join their team as a maternity reliever. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching and committed to providing quality education. This position requires a teacher who is familiar with the Kenyan education system and can adapt to the classroom environment while maintaining a nurturing and effective learning atmosphere.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver English language lessons to students in line with the curriculum and school standards.
• Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments for students.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to help students achieve their academic goals.
• Maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Ensure the well-being of students and maintain a safe learning space.
• Collaborate with other teaching staff to enhance the learning experience.
• Adhere to the Teacher’s Code of Ethics and other relevant government legislation, including the Children's Act.
• Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development programs.
• Ensure the timely completion of grading and reporting.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• Diploma/Degree in Education from a recognized institution in Kenya.
• 3 years’ work experience, TSC licensed.
• Be conversant with the Kenyan education system, children's act, teacher's code of ethics and any relevant government legislation
