DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Engagement & Skincare Consultation
- Welcome and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner, creating a positive first impression.
- Listen actively to understand individual customer skincare needs, concerns, and preferences.
- Offer tailored skincare consultations, including skin type assessment and personalized product recommendations.
- Educate customers on correct usage, application techniques, and product benefits to encourage long-term skincare routines.
Sales Performance & Revenue Growth
- Promote skincare products effectively to meet and exceed individual and store sales targets.
- Apply upselling and cross-selling strategies to maximize average transaction value.
- Stay proactive in converting walk-ins to paying customers through persuasive and informed sales techniques.
- Track and report on daily sales achievements and customer feedback.
Product Knowledge & Brand Representation
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all skincare products, ingredients, and key selling points across various brands.
- Attend training sessions, product demos, and workshops organized by suppliers or in-house teams.
- Confidently represent the brand image and values while ensuring compliance with in-store standards and messaging.
Store Presentation & Visual Merchandising
- Ensure product shelves, testers, and displays are always clean, neat, organized, and visually appealing.
- Support in implementing seasonal promotions, launches, and visual display guidelines.
- Conduct daily checks on stock levels, expiry dates, and overall display maintenance.
Stock Management & Inventory Support
- Assist in receiving and unpacking skincare product deliveries, verifying items against delivery notes.
- Help manage stock levels on the shop floor and notify supervisors of fast-moving or low-stock items.
- Monitor testers and samples to ensure they are in good condition and available for customer use.
Customer Relationship Building
- Cultivate long-term relationships with customers through follow-ups, skincare progress updates, and loyalty programs.
- Collect customer feedback to inform product stocking decisions and service improvement.
- Maintain a customer database with contact information, preferences, and purchase history where applicable.
Problem-Solving & After-Sales Support
- Handle customer complaints or product-related queries with professionalism, empathy, and problem-solving skill.
- Assist in product returns, exchanges, or satisfaction issues in accordance with store policies.
Team Collaboration & Store Operations
- Work closely with fellow sales staff and management to achieve team goals and deliver consistent service.
- Participate in daily opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, cleanliness checks, and reporting.
- Assist in organizing and executing in-store events such as skincare demos, product launches, or promotions.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- At least 1 years proven experience working in a retail shop that deals with skincare or beauty products
- Strong knowledge of skincare product categories, ingredients, and customer skin types
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Passion for beauty, skincare, and customer service
- Confident, presentable, and persuasive with a strong sales orientation
- Team player with a positive and proactive attitude
