DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and bake a wide variety of breads, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods according to recipes and production standards.
  • Ensure timely preparation of products to meet daily demands and customer expectations.
  • Measure and mix ingredients following recipes and quality standards.
  • Operate and maintain baking equipment and tools (e.g., ovens, mixers, dough rollers, etc.).
  • Monitor baking process and adjust temperatures and baking times as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking area in compliance with food safety standards.
  • Check the quality of raw and finished products to ensure consistency and freshness.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen or production team for inventory planning and management.
  • Minimize waste and contribute to efficient use of materials and ingredients.
  • Follow all health, safety, and hygiene procedures as per regulatory guidelines.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Proven experience as a baker in a commercial or industrial kitchen (minimum 1-2 years preferred)
  • Solid understanding of baking techniques, ingredients, dough preparation, fermentation, and finishing
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene practices
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced and high-volume environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency in product quality
  • Physically fit and able to stand for long periods and lift heavy baking supplies
  • Team player with good communication and time-management skills
  • Residence near or along Mombasa Road or nearby areas (e.g., South B, South C, Imara Daima, Syokimau, Embakasi) for ease of commute.
