DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Production & Operations Management

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and supervising daily production activities to meet output and quality targets.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, consistency, and compliance with SOPs.
  • Support the implementation of production schedules and ensure timely delivery of finished products.
  • Coordinate material availability with procurement and inventory teams.

Equipment & Process Oversight

  • Ensure proper use, maintenance, and calibration of manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot production equipment issues and liaise with technical teams for repairs.
  • Recommend improvements for process optimization, cost reduction, and reduced downtime.

Quality & Food Safety Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP) across all operations.
  • Work closely with quality assurance teams to maintain consistent product quality.
  • Participate in internal audits and corrective action plans.

Team Leadership & People Management

  • Supervise and guide production staff to achieve operational goals.
  • Participate in staff training on processes, safety, and equipment handling.
  • Monitor staff performance and support continuous skill development.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports for management review.
  • Analyze production data and contribute to initiatives that enhance productivity.
  • Participate in planning and executing improvement projects within the operations unit.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Production Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in food processing, preferably within paste or jam manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing equipment and production workflow.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficient in production planning and process optimization.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
