DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Service & Engagement:

  • Greet and welcome customers as they arrive, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable.
  • Attend to customer requests promptly and efficiently, providing a high level of service at all times.
  • Handle any customer complaints or issues with patience and professionalism, ensuring customer satisfaction while following company policies.

Order Taking & POS System Use:

  • Accurately take customer orders for food and drinks, ensuring all details are correct and clear for the kitchen and bar staff.
  • Use the POS (Point of Sale) system to input orders, process payments, and manage the transaction flow.
  • Be familiar with menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to answer customer queries effectively.
  • Suggest menu items and make recommendations based on customer preferences.

Food & Beverage Delivery:

  • Ensure food and beverages are delivered to customers promptly and accurately, ensuring the highest standards of presentation and quality.
  • Check with customers after serving to ensure their satisfaction with the food and overall experience.

Table Maintenance & Cleanliness:

  • Keep tables clean and organized, ensuring all utensils, glasses, and condiments are provided and properly set.
  • Reset tables quickly and efficiently for incoming customers, maintaining a neat and welcoming environment.
  • Ensure cleanliness in the dining area, including wiping down tables, chairs, and high-touch surfaces.

Payment Processing & Transactions:

  • Process customer payments accurately using the POS system, including cash, credit card, and mobile payment methods.
  • Issue receipts and ensure customers are satisfied with their billing experience.

Team Collaboration & Communication:

  • Maintain open and effective communication with the kitchen and bar to ensure orders are completed on time.
  • Support colleagues during busy periods, ensuring that the team works together to meet customer demands.

Health, Safety & Hygiene:

  • Ensure personal hygiene and cleanliness are maintained, following restaurant policies regarding uniforms, appearance, and grooming.
  • Follow food safety guidelines to ensure food and drink are handled and stored properly, minimizing contamination risks.

Additional Duties as Required:

  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including stocking and organizing supplies.
  • Participate in training and development activities to improve skills and knowledge.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a waitress in a busy restaurant
  • Hands-on experience with POS (Point of Sale) systems
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage items on the menu
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Friendly, energetic, and customer-oriented personality
