STORES CLERK

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Inventory Management:

• Receive, inspect, and store goods in accordance with company procedures.
• Maintain accurate stock records in the inventory management system.
• Perform regular stock counts and reconciliations to ensure accurate inventory levels.
• Monitor stock levels and notify management of items that need to be replenished.

Stock Organization:

• Organize products in the store or warehouse to ensure easy access and optimal space utilization.
• Ensure proper labeling and storage of goods to prevent damage and ensure safety.

Stock Distribution:

• Pick, pack, and dispatch goods as required by the retail operations or customer orders.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Prepare and maintain accurate records of stock movements, including receipts, dispatches, and adjustments.
• Prepare periodic reports on stock levels, damaged goods, and discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with all documentation requirements for audit purposes.

Quality Control:

• Inspect goods for defects or damages and report any issues to management.
• Ensure products are handled with care to maintain quality standards.

Customer Service:

• Provide assistance in resolving stock-related queries from other departments or customers.
• Assist in managing the store layout and ensuring an organized, presentable environment for customers.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• 2-3 years of experience in a busy retail environment as a Storekeeper or in a similar role.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Basic understanding of inventory management systems and software.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
