DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Inventory Management:

  • Receive and inspect incoming stock deliveries to ensure they meet quality standards and order specifications.
  • Maintain accurate stock levels and ensure timely restocking.
  • Monitor stock levels and perform regular stock checks to identify discrepancies and avoid stockouts or overstocking.
  • Record stock movements and maintain a clear audit trail for inventory transactions.

Stock Control:

  • Ensure proper storage of alcohol products, adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
  • Rotate stock according to the first-in, first-out (FIFO) method to ensure freshness and compliance.
  • Prepare and maintain inventory reports and update stock records in the system.

Dispatch and Delivery:

  • Prepare orders for dispatch and ensure timely delivery to customers.
  • Verify that the correct products are selected and packed according to customer orders.
  • Coordinate with the logistics team to arrange safe and efficient transportation for alcohol products.

Record Keeping:

  • Accurately document and track all stock movements, including goods received and dispatched.
  • Ensure that all stock records are up-to-date and consistent with physical inventory.

Health & Safety Compliance:

  • Follow all safety protocols in handling alcohol products.
  • Ensure the proper storage conditions are met, in compliance with alcohol distribution regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment at all times.

Customer Service:

  • Assist with the resolution of any issues related to stock discrepancies, damaged goods, or order errors.
  • Respond to inquiries related to product availability and stock status.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Prior experience in storekeeping, stock checking, and dispatch within a similar role, preferably in an alcohol distribution company
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and email communication
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
