DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Developing Tailored Training Programs:

  • Create and customize training materials that address specific organizational needs, focusing on the development of essential soft skills such as communication, teamwork, leadership, conflict management, time management, and emotional intelligence.
  • Ensure that all training programs are aligned with the company’s goals, culture, and values.

Conducting Interactive Soft Skills Training Sessions:

  • Lead engaging, dynamic training sessions that encourage employee participation and active learning. Use a variety of training methods, including role-playing, group discussions, presentations, and real-life scenarios.
  • Facilitate workshops on topics such as effective communication, interpersonal skills, customer service excellence, leadership development, and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure that training sessions are engaging, relevant, and practical for employees at different levels of the organization.

Assessing Employee Skill Gaps:

  • Collaborate with managers and HR to identify skill gaps and areas where employees may need improvement or development in their soft skills.
  • Conduct pre- and post-training assessments to evaluate knowledge and skill development, ensuring that training objectives are being met.

Tracking and Measuring Training Effectiveness:

  • Gather feedback from participants after each training session to assess the overall effectiveness and relevance of the training.
  • Analyze results and adjust the training approach as necessary, based on participant feedback, performance metrics, and organizational needs.
  • Utilize data to report on the effectiveness of the training programs and recommend improvements.

 

Providing Coaching and Mentoring:

  • Offer individual coaching to employees who need additional support in developing soft skills.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance on areas of improvement, ensuring that employees are equipped with actionable strategies for personal and professional growth.

Creating and Curating Training Resources:

  • Develop training materials such as handouts, manuals, presentations, and online resources to support training programs.
  • Ensure that training content is accessible, understandable, and aligned with adult learning principles.
  • Continuously update materials to reflect new best practices and industry trends in soft skills training.

Collaborating with HR and Leadership Teams:

  • Work closely with HR and department heads to understand the evolving needs of the organization and propose appropriate training solutions.
  • Share insights on employee performance and suggest strategies for further development.
  • Align training programs with company-wide goals such as employee retention, engagement, and performance enhancement.

Staying Current with Training Trends:

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and techniques in soft skills training and organizational development.
  • Attend workshops, webinars, and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge and share fresh ideas with the organization.

Fostering a Positive Work Environment:

  • Create a supportive learning atmosphere where employees feel comfortable engaging in open communication and receiving constructive feedback.
  • Encourage a growth mindset within the organization, where employees are motivated to continually improve their interpersonal skills and adapt to changing work dynamics.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Degree in Human Resources Management (HRM) or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a corporate soft skills trainer or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of soft skills training methodologies and best practices.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to create engaging training materials and presentations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with employees across all levels.
  • Proven ability to deliver training in a clear, motivating, and effective manner
  • Certification in training, coaching, or a relevant area would be a plus
