DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and target potential customers in both Kisumu and Bungoma regions, including wholesalers, retailers, bars, restaurants, and liquor outlets.
  • Actively engage in the selling process by making cold calls, scheduling meetings, and conducting product demonstrations to persuade potential customers to purchase the company’s alcoholic beverages.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers by offering exceptional service and timely follow-ups.
  • Understand customer needs and preferences to recommend suitable products, ensuring that the products offered align with the customer’s business goals.
  • Continuously monitor and assess the market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities within the alcohol sales industry.
  • Provide feedback and insights on the performance of different product categories, identifying emerging trends and unmet market needs.
  • Take full ownership of meeting and exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Prepare and submit regular sales reports, detailing the number of sales made, product performance, customer feedback, and market conditions.
  • Ensure that all reports are submitted on time and in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote the brand and products to potential clients.
  • Actively work to increase the visibility of the brand and products by ensuring they are well-placed in key outlets and promotions are executed properly.
  • Continuously improve product knowledge through internal training sessions and product updates to provide customers with expert advice and recommendations.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to ensure alignment in sales strategies, promotional activities, and customer communication.
  • Actively seek customer feedback regarding the products and services offered, providing insights to management for product improvement.
  • Recommend new sales strategies or promotional approaches based on customer feedback, market conditions, and performance analysis.

 

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma in Sales & Marketing or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in selling alcoholic beverages or in a similar sales role.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for achieving sales targets.
  • Knowledge of the local market (Kisumu and Bungoma) is an advantage.
