DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Field Sales & Client Acquisition:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the water management sector.
- Generate leads and manage the full sales cycle, from initial contact to project closure.
- Conduct field visits to meet prospective and existing clients, including project site assessments, presentations, and product demonstrations.
- Negotiate contracts, close deals, and ensure timely follow-up with potential clients.
Project Management & Solution Development:
- Collaborate with project teams to understand client requirements and design customized water management solutions.
- Develop detailed proposals, quotations, and project timelines.
- Provide technical input and guidance on the integration of water management systems to meet client needs.
- Ensure successful project implementation by working closely with engineering and technical teams.
Marketing Strategy & Sales Planning:
- Develop and execute marketing strategies tailored to the water management market.
- Research market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to refine sales approaches.
- Create promotional materials, presentations, and sales campaigns to drive brand visibility.
- Regularly update sales forecasts and pipeline reports to senior management.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Provide post-sales support, including addressing customer queries, troubleshooting, and overseeing product installations.
- Monitor customer satisfaction levels and work towards exceeding expectations to encourage repeat business and referrals.
Collaboration & Reporting:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams such as engineering, product development, and technical support to ensure client needs are met.
- Provide feedback on product performance and customer requirements for continuous improvement.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports, track KPIs, and report on project status and sales performance to management.
Technical Expertise:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of water management technologies, solutions, and industry standards.
- Provide technical presentations and training to clients and team members when necessary.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in water management solutions, ensuring proper technical support during the sales process.
Business Development:
- Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and other business events to network and create opportunities.
- Develop partnerships and alliances with key stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and government agencies.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Degree in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. Technical background in water management systems or engineering is an advantage.
- Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in field sales, preferably in the water management, engineering, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of sales processes and project management, with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in creating and implementing marketing strategies within the water management or environmental sector.
- In-depth knowledge of water treatment technologies, irrigation systems, or other water management solutions is highly desirable.
