JOB SUMMARY

Our client is seeking a passionate and dedicated Math teacher to join their team and equip the next generation with mathematical skills they need to succeed in life. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of mathematics, as well as the ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans. They will also be a skilled communicator who can foster a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in the curriculum and institutional development of the School through participating in the assigned tasks.
  • Preparing and delivering lessons to a range of classes of different ages and abilities.
  • Marking work, giving appropriate feedback and maintaining records of students' progress and development.
  • Timely reporting of students results to the appropriate authorities.
  • Liaising with the dean and principal to address the needs of the students.
  • Researching new topic areas, maintaining up-to-date subject knowledge, and devising and writing new curriculum materials.
  • Selecting and using a range of different learning resources and equipment.
  • Preparing students for qualifications and external examinations.
  • Managing student behavior in the classroom and on school premises, and applying appropriate and effective measures in cases of misbehavior.
  • Other duties that may be required of you from the administration

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma in Education, B.Ed Degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution in Kenya.
  • 3 years’ work experience, TSC licensed.
  • Be conversant with the Kenyan education system, children's act, teacher's code of ethics and any relevant government legislation
  • Competent in handling any combination of the highlighted subject combinations.
