DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
System Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Perform regular maintenance, inspection, and testing of electrical and electronics systems and equipment in the production plant.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults, failures, and malfunctions in equipment and systems to ensure smooth production processes.
- Respond to electrical breakdowns and offer fast, effective solutions to minimize downtime.
Repairs & Upgrades:
- Conduct repairs and modifications on electrical and electronics systems as required.
- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance system performance and efficiency.
Production Support:
- Collaborate closely with the production and engineering teams to ensure electrical and electronics systems support plant operations.
- Assist in the commissioning and installation of new electrical equipment and systems, ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards.
Preventative Maintenance:
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all electrical and electronics equipment in the plant.
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repairs performed, including any changes made to the systems.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure that all electrical systems are compliant with local and international safety standards and regulations.
- Identify potential electrical hazards and take proactive steps to address them.
Leadership & Team Collaboration:
- Lead a small team of technicians, ensuring tasks are completed effectively and efficiently.
- Train and mentor junior team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to address technical issues and improve overall production quality.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive logs of system performance, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Prepare detailed reports on electrical and electronic system performance for management review.
- Recommend improvements to existing electrical and electronics systems and report on any major technical issues.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably steel or plastic industry)
- Proven experience in maintaining and troubleshooting industrial electrical systems and equipment.
- Experience working with automated production systems, PLCs, SCADA systems, and motor control circuits is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
