DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Market and Territory Management
- Identify growth opportunities in the assigned territory.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behaviour to tailor trade strategies.
- Plan and execute trade activities, such as promotions and displays, to increase product visibility and sales.
Account Management
- Build and maintain relationships with retailers, distributors, wholesalers, and other trade partners.
- Act as the primary point of contact for trade partners, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring satisfaction.
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and promotional agreements to meet sales targets and profitability goals.
Sales Execution
- Implement sales plans and initiatives to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Meeting sales target.
- Ensure product availability, optimal shelf placement, and inventory levels at retail and distributor locations.
- Monitor and track sales performance, providing feedback and reports to management.
Trade Marketing and Promotions
- Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute trade marketing campaigns.
- Organize in-store activations, point-of-sale (POS) displays, and promotional events.
- Assess the effectiveness of trade promotions and recommend improvements.
- Reporting and Analytics
- Gather market intelligence, including competitor activities and pricing strategies.
- Ability to use a sales automation software.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, trade partner feedback, and market trends.
- Provide insights to optimize strategies and improve overall performance.
- Compliance and Relationship Building
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards in all trade dealings.
- Foster strong partnerships with stakeholders to encourage loyalty and collaboration.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in sales, trade marketing, or distribution management is often required.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Analytical skills for market assessment and data interpretation.
- Ability to build relationships and network effectively.
- Proficiency in CRM and sales reporting tools.
