DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Market and Territory Management

  • Identify growth opportunities in the assigned territory.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behaviour to tailor trade strategies.
  • Plan and execute trade activities, such as promotions and displays, to increase product visibility and sales.

Account Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with retailers, distributors, wholesalers, and other trade partners.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for trade partners, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and promotional agreements to meet sales targets and profitability goals.

Sales Execution

  • Implement sales plans and initiatives to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Meeting sales target.
  • Ensure product availability, optimal shelf placement, and inventory levels at retail and distributor locations.
  • Monitor and track sales performance, providing feedback and reports to management.

Trade Marketing and Promotions

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute trade marketing campaigns.
  • Organize in-store activations, point-of-sale (POS) displays, and promotional events.
  • Assess the effectiveness of trade promotions and recommend improvements.
  • Reporting and Analytics
  • Gather market intelligence, including competitor activities and pricing strategies.
  • Ability to use a sales automation software.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, trade partner feedback, and market trends.
  • Provide insights to optimize strategies and improve overall performance.
  • Compliance and Relationship Building
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards in all trade dealings.
  • Foster strong partnerships with stakeholders to encourage loyalty and collaboration.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience in sales, trade marketing, or distribution management is often required.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Analytical skills for market assessment and data interpretation.
  • Ability to build relationships and network effectively.
  • Proficiency in CRM and sales reporting tools.
