DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Site Supervision & Quality Control
- Monitor and supervise all site activities to ensure construction works conform to approved architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and industry quality standards.
- Inspect workmanship and materials used on-site to ensure they meet the required standards and report any deviations promptly.
- Liaise with contractors and subcontractors to ensure that correct construction procedures are followed at every stage.
Site Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive site records including:
- Daily site diary
- Labor attendance
- Equipment usage
- Materials delivered and consumed
- Daily and weekly progress reports
- Prepare and submit regular reports on project status, delays, and issues that require management attention.
Project Coordination & Milestone Tracking
- Assist in planning and tracking construction milestones to ensure that work progresses as scheduled.
- Coordinate between different teams and departments to maintain workflow efficiency and resolve on-site issues in a timely manner.
- Attend and contribute to site meetings and project review sessions.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Compliance
- Ensure the site complies with all relevant safety protocols, procedures, and statutory regulations.
- Identify and mitigate safety risks, conduct regular inspections, and promote a culture of safety awareness among workers.
- Ensure workers are using proper PPE and that all safety signage and equipment are in place.
Stakeholder Liaison
- Communicate effectively with the project manager, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Represent the client or employer's interests on-site and ensure the integrity of work being done.
- Serve as the key contact person on-site for addressing and resolving technical or operational issues.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Technology, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Clerk of Works, Site Supervisor, or Project Coordinator in building construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and quality control procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage site-based challenges effectively
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic project tracking tools is an added advantage
