DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Site Management and Supervision
- Plan, organize, and oversee daily construction activities on-site.
- Supervise foremen, tradespeople, laborers, and subcontractors to ensure work is performed efficiently and safely.
- Allocate tasks and responsibilities to ensure all team members are productive and accountable.
- Ensure all work is executed according to project specifications and approved drawings.
Safety and Compliance
- Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations, company policies, and statutory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments, identifying hazards and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure all workers use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow proper procedures.
Quality Control
- Monitor construction quality to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and industry standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and checks to detect defects, deviations, or non-conformance issues.
- Work with the quality assurance team to resolve issues and maintain high-quality standards.
Progress Monitoring and Reporting
- Track project progress and provide daily, weekly, or monthly reports to management.
- Identify delays, bottlenecks, or issues impacting timelines and propose solutions.
- Maintain accurate site records, including labor reports, material usage, and equipment logs.
Resource and Budget Management
- Assist in planning site resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment.
- Monitor material usage and wastage, ensuring cost efficiency.
- Control labor costs, including overtime, to stay within budget.
Coordination and Communication
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Communicate expectations, updates, and instructions clearly to on-site teams.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Miscellaneous Duties
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and efficiency.
- Mentor and support junior staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management related to site operations.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Construction Site Supervisor
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- All travel Logistics, meals and Accommodation provided
