DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervision of Field Sales Representatives:

  • Lead, manage, and support a team of field sales reps to ensure effective implementation of sales strategies.
  • Provide regular coaching, mentoring, and feedback to field sales reps to improve performance and achieve targets.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with field sales reps to review progress, address challenges, and discuss solutions.
  • Ensure that sales reps are adhering to company policies, procedures, and standards while on the field.

 Sales Target Achievement:

  • Set and monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the team and individual field sales reps.
  • Drive the team towards achieving and exceeding sales targets through consistent motivation and performance tracking.
  • Work with sales reps to identify potential customers, new business opportunities, and ways to improve sales productivity in the assigned regions.

Revenue Generation & Business Growth:

  • Develop and execute strategies to increase revenue and market share within your designated region.
  • Identify and target key growth areas through customer acquisition, product diversification, and expanding the customer base.
  • Foster strong business relationships with existing customers to encourage repeat business and generate additional revenue opportunities.
  • Work closely with marketing and product teams to ensure the right product offerings are available to meet customer needs.

 

 

Sales Planning & Strategy Development:

  • Collaborate with management to develop sales plans and strategies tailored to the local market, customer preferences, and product offerings.
  • Regularly evaluate the sales strategies, track performance, and adjust plans as necessary to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Identify and address gaps in sales processes or customer service that could hinder the achievement of targets.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Implement a system for tracking and reporting the sales performance of field reps, including key performance indicators (KPIs) like revenue, customer acquisition, and retention rates.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports detailing performance, insights, challenges, and strategies for improvement.
  • Analyze sales data to forecast future sales trends, helping the management team make data-driven decisions.

Market Research & Competitive Analysis:

  • Conduct regular market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
  • Monitor and analyze competitor products, pricing, and promotional strategies to ensure the company remains competitive in the market.
  • Adapt and implement competitive strategies to maintain a strong market position and differentiate our brand.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build long-term relationships with key clients and customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Handle customer complaints and feedback effectively, ensuring resolutions are provided promptly to maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Continuously follow up with customers to ensure they receive excellent service and identify new sales opportunities.

Coordination with Internal Teams:

  • Work closely with the logistics, supply chain, and operations teams to ensure timely product delivery and fulfillment of customer orders.
  • Coordinate with marketing teams to ensure promotional campaigns, discounts, and incentives are communicated effectively to field reps and customers.
  • Collaborate with product teams to stay up-to-date with new product launches, features, or updates, ensuring the sales team is well-prepared.

Sales Training & Development:

  • Organize and lead training sessions for field sales reps to enhance their product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service skills.
  • Ensure the sales team is up-to-date with the latest product information, pricing, and industry trends.
  • Provide ongoing development opportunities for the sales team, helping them to grow professionally and advance within the company.

Operational Support & Administration:

  • Assist in administrative tasks such as maintaining accurate sales records, tracking inventory levels, and managing customer accounts.
  • Ensure all sales transactions and activities are accurately documented and processed in the company's CRM or sales system.
  • Manage the preparation of sales materials, including proposals, presentations, and promotional materials.

Reporting to Management:

  • Regularly report to senior management on sales activities, challenges, and successes.
  • Participate in strategic planning meetings to align sales strategies with company goals.
  • Provide recommendations for improving sales processes, enhancing team performance, and achieving business objectives.

 

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Degree or diploma in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field.
  • Previous experience (2+ years) in FMCG or E-commerce sales, with a proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Experience in managing or leading a sales team is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of the local market in the assigned locations.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
