DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations & Service Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the restaurant to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Supervise service staff to maintain consistency and high-quality guest experiences.
- Ensure all staff adhere to company policies, service standards, and hygiene protocols.
- Manage dining room ambiance, including cleanliness, music, lighting, and overall guest comfort.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally and promptly.
Staff Management
- Lead, train, and motivate the service team to ensure exceptional service delivery.
- Monitor staff performance and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Prepare daily shift schedules and assign tasks to staff.
- Conduct pre-shift briefings and ensure team readiness before service.
Menu & Beverage Knowledge
- Maintain expert knowledge of the restaurant’s menu with a strong emphasis on continental cuisine.
- Possess a thorough understanding of alcoholic beverages, including wine pairing, spirits, and cocktail presentation.
- Assist guests with menu selections and make recommendations based on their preferences.
Inventory & Supplies
- Monitor stock levels of restaurant supplies and beverages.
- Coordinate with purchasing and kitchen teams to ensure availability of items.
- Assist in conducting regular inventory checks and stock takes.
Financial Oversight
- Support in daily cash handling, billing, and end-of-day reports.
- Minimize wastage and optimize resources to ensure cost control.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma or certificate in Hotel Management, Food & Beverage Service, or related field is an added advantage
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Restaurant Supervisor or similar role in a fine dining environment
- Proven leadership abilities with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of continental cuisine and alcoholic beverages
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively
- High level of personal grooming and professional appearance
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
