DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Production Planning & Scheduling

  • Create and maintain production schedules and timelines for all manufacturing orders.
  • Monitor project progress, identify delays, and apply corrective measures to ensure on-time production.
  • Coordinate with procurement and inventory departments to ensure materials and supplies are available when needed.

Resource & Team Coordination

  • Allocate production resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, in alignment with production demands.
  • Coordinate assignments among production staff; ensure clear roles and responsibilities.
  • Supervise and support production staff to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Quality Control & Assurance

  • Monitor production output to ensure compliance with product specifications and company quality standards.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance to inspect materials, manage rejects, and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain production documentation, including work orders, inspection reports, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Process Improvement & Cost Control

  • Analyze production data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  • Recommend and implement process optimization initiatives to improve throughput, reduce waste, and enhance cost efficiency.
  • Monitor production costs and suggest cost-saving opportunities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication

  • Liaise with maintenance, procurement, logistics, and quality teams to ensure smooth production operations.
  • Communicate regularly with management regarding production performance, challenges, and corrective actions.

Safety, Compliance & Administration

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry guidelines, and company policies in the production area.
  • Maintain production records, inventory logs, and reports accurately.
  • Support administrative tasks related to production coordination (e.g., report generation, documentation, work order management).

Other Responsibilities

  • Perform any other duty as may be assigned by management from time to time.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Production Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology or related field
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, quality management, safety standards, and inventory control
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in production coordination, operations, or related manufacturing roles
  • Strong organizational, scheduling, and multitasking skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other tools for production planning and data handling
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) for coordination across teams
  • Analytical and problem-solving capability, especially with production data and workflow challenges
