DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supplier Sourcing & Evaluation:

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, price, reliability, and service.
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of approved suppliers and alternative sources.
  • Conduct regular supplier audits and performance evaluations.

 Procurement & Contract Management:

  • Request for quotations (RFQs), analyze bids, and negotiate best terms and pricing.
  • Prepare and manage purchase orders and procurement contracts in accordance with company policies.
  • Ensure contract terms are met and maintain documentation for audit purposes.

Cost & Inventory Control:

  • Monitor market trends to forecast procurement needs and price fluctuations.
  • Work closely with inventory and warehouse teams to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.

Vendor Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Resolve disputes or issues with suppliers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure timely delivery of goods and address delays or discrepancies.

Compliance & Reporting:

  • Ensure all procurement activities are compliant with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and generate regular reports on spending, savings, and supplier performance.
  • Assist with internal and external audits as required.

 

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • A minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a similar procurement role within an FMCG environment
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
