DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Actively sell chicken meat products within the Thika Road territory, targeting retailers, wholesalers, hotels, restaurants, butcheries, and institutions.
- Identify new customers and business opportunities to drive market expansion and penetration.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure loyalty, repeat orders, and consistent sales volumes.
- Conduct regular market visits to monitor demand, pricing, competitor activity, and emerging trends.
- Achieve assigned sales targets, revenue goals, and collection timelines.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms with customers in line with company policies.
- Ensure correct product handling, cold-chain compliance, and proper display at customer outlets.
- Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to ensure timely order fulfilment and deliveries.
- Collect customer feedback and relay market intelligence to management for product and strategy improvement.
- Participate in promotional activities, product launches, and brand visibility initiatives.
- Prepare and submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards.
- Resolve customer complaints and service issues promptly and professionally.
- Build and maintain a strong brand presence within the assigned market.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma or Degree in Sales & Marketing, Agribusiness, Business Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in poultry, meat processing, agribusiness, or FMCG sales
- Strong understanding of the Thika Road market and its distribution channels
- Proven ability to drive sales growth and expand market coverage
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, target-oriented, and able to work independently
- Valid motorcycle or driving license is an added advantage
