DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively sell chicken meat products within the Thika Road territory, targeting retailers, wholesalers, hotels, restaurants, butcheries, and institutions.
  • Identify new customers and business opportunities to drive market expansion and penetration.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure loyalty, repeat orders, and consistent sales volumes.
  • Conduct regular market visits to monitor demand, pricing, competitor activity, and emerging trends.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets, revenue goals, and collection timelines.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms with customers in line with company policies.
  • Ensure correct product handling, cold-chain compliance, and proper display at customer outlets.
  • Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to ensure timely order fulfilment and deliveries.
  • Collect customer feedback and relay market intelligence to management for product and strategy improvement.
  • Participate in promotional activities, product launches, and brand visibility initiatives.
  • Prepare and submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards.
  • Resolve customer complaints and service issues promptly and professionally.
  • Build and maintain a strong brand presence within the assigned market.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma or Degree in Sales & Marketing, Agribusiness, Business Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in poultry, meat processing, agribusiness, or FMCG sales
  • Strong understanding of the Thika Road market and its distribution channels
  • Proven ability to drive sales growth and expand market coverage
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated, target-oriented, and able to work independently
  • Valid motorcycle or driving license is an added advantage
