DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and Prototyping:
- Develop, build, and test prototypes for new or improved machinery and automation systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechatronic components into production lines.
Troubleshooting and Diagnostics:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues in automated machines.
- Analyze root causes of failures and recommend technical improvements.
Maintenance and Repairs:
- Conduct regular preventive and corrective maintenance on automated systems, gears, motors, sensors, actuators, and PLC-based equipment.
- Ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently with minimal downtime.
System Optimization:
- Identify opportunities to enhance system performance, reduce energy consumption, and improve productivity.
- Support process improvement initiatives through automation and control solutions.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate maintenance and service records.
- Prepare reports on system performance, maintenance schedules, and repair activities.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to company safety policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement in all technical operations.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma in Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong background in both mechanical and electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with automation systems, PLC programming, and sensor technology is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and using diagnostic tools.
