DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and Prototyping:

  • Develop, build, and test prototypes for new or improved machinery and automation systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechatronic components into production lines.

Troubleshooting and Diagnostics:

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues in automated machines.
  • Analyze root causes of failures and recommend technical improvements.

Maintenance and Repairs:

  • Conduct regular preventive and corrective maintenance on automated systems, gears, motors, sensors, actuators, and PLC-based equipment.
  • Ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently with minimal downtime.

System Optimization:

  • Identify opportunities to enhance system performance, reduce energy consumption, and improve productivity.
  • Support process improvement initiatives through automation and control solutions.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate maintenance and service records.
  • Prepare reports on system performance, maintenance schedules, and repair activities.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to company safety policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement in all technical operations.

 

 

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma in Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong background in both mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Hands-on experience with automation systems, PLC programming, and sensor technology is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings and using diagnostic tools.
