DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify and Develop New Business Opportunities:
- Proactively research and identify potential clients through market analysis, cold calls, online platforms, referrals, and networking events. Build a strong pipeline of qualified leads to sustain long-term growth.
Conduct Client Needs Assessments:
- Engage with prospects to understand their business challenges, technical requirements, and goals. Customize your sales approach to align proposed solutions with the client’s specific needs and objectives.
Deliver Tailored Product Demonstrations and Presentations:
- Prepare and present compelling product demos, showcasing how the software or IT solution addresses the client’s pain points. Use both technical and business language to communicate value to decision-makers.
Develop and Present Sales Proposals and Quotations:
- Create detailed, accurate, and competitive proposals, quotations, and pricing models. Clearly communicate solution benefits, implementation timelines, and return on investment (ROI) to stakeholders.
Negotiate and Close Sales Deals:
- Lead contract negotiations, overcome objections, and address client concerns to close sales efficiently. Ensure all agreements are documented and aligned with internal policies and client expectations.
Manage and Maintain Client Relationships:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients post-sale, ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional products and services.
Achieve and Exceed Sales Targets:
- Consistently meet or surpass individual monthly and quarterly sales quotas. Develop strategies to improve performance and contribute to the company’s overall revenue growth.
Collaborate with Technical and Support Teams:
- Work closely with internal IT, implementation, and support teams to ensure successful deployment and integration of solutions. Provide clear handovers and remain available during early stages of onboarding.
Track Sales Activities and Maintain CRM Records:
- Accurately update all sales activities, client interactions, opportunities, and progress in the CRM system. Generate regular reports to track KPIs and inform strategy.
Stay Informed on Market Trends and Industry Developments:
- Continuously expand your knowledge of IT software trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies. Use market intelligence to refine sales pitches and identify new revenue streams.
Participate in Marketing and Networking Events:
- Represent the company at industry events, expos, and seminars to promote brand visibility and develop new leads. Share insights with the team and explore potential partnerships.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in IT software sales or a similar role
- Strong understanding of software products, IT solutions, and related services
- Proven track record of consistently achieving or surpassing sales targets
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently
- Familiarity with CRM tools and sales reporting systems is an added advantage
