DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Assist in the recruitment process by posting job vacancies, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating the hiring process.
- Support the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and new hires are properly integrated into the company culture.
Employee Records Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal details, performance appraisals, training certifications, and attendance records.
- Ensure that all records are in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employees’ HR-related inquiries and concerns.
- Assist in resolving employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and procedures.
Performance Management:
- Assist in the coordination of performance reviews and appraisals, ensuring they are conducted in a timely manner.
- Track and report on employee performance, providing support to managers and supervisors to address performance issues.
Training & Development:
- Support the planning and coordination of employee training and development programs.
- Track employee training records and assist in evaluating the effectiveness of training initiatives.
Compliance & Policy Implementation:
- Assist in the implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws and company standards.
- Stay updated on labor law changes and communicate relevant updates to the team.
Payroll & Benefits Administration:
- Assist the HR Manager with payroll processing by verifying attendance, overtime, and other payroll-related data.
- Support the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, leave, and other perks.
Reporting & Analytics:
- Prepare and maintain HR reports as required, including turnover reports, training logs, and other HR metrics.
- Assist in analyzing HR data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
General HR Administrative Support:
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team, including scheduling meetings, preparing correspondence, and maintaining HR filing systems.
- Handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Degree in Human Resource Management (HRM) or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Human Resources role within a manufacturing or FMCG company.
- Demonstrated experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR administration.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate others.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Sound knowledge of Kenyan labor laws and HR best practices.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
