DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales & Customer Engagement:
- Promote and sell FMCG products directly to retailers, wholesalers, and end-users.
- Identify new sales opportunities and route expansion strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Execute in-store merchandising and product placement as per brand guidelines.
Product Delivery:
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to clients as per order schedule.
- Load, transport, and deliver goods safely and efficiently using a company-provided motorcycle.
- Collect customer payments (where applicable) and issue receipts in line with company policy.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of sales, delivery notes, returns, and client feedback.
- Prepare and submit daily route reports, sales summaries, and stock reconciliation reports.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the warehouse for replenishment.
Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure all goods are handled properly to avoid damage and loss.
- Adhere to road safety regulations and company transportation policies at all times.
- Keep the motorcycle in good condition and report any faults for maintenance.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma or Certificate in Sales and Marketing or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a motorbike salesman in the FMCG industry
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets in a similar role
- Valid Motorcycle License – Class A
- Valid Driving License – Class C
- Certificate of Good Conduct and updated rider’s insurance (an added advantage)
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Good knowledge of local geography and assigned routes
- Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision
